Protecting The Environment
A healthy environment is essential to combating climate change and to the health of farmers and the crops. Organic food production depends on natural resources like water and nutrients and needs to be protected from pollutants. Moreover, any negative impact of organic food production on the environment has to be minimized to ensure organic food production is sustainable in the long term.
Green Ghana works to reduce the impact of organic food production on the environment through smart organic crop management that optimizes inputs like fertilizer, and by reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the fields.
