Green Ghana is a flagship program of Heritage Charity Foundation and has been in operation for the past three years. Heritage Charity Foundation was started in the year 2013 as a charity which provides free basic education and healthcare supports to school drop-outs children and children living with various types of disabilities located in rural communities in Ghana while covering some of the costs of their basic needs and provision of educational and healthcare infrastructure. After the second year, the foundation decided that although the education project is achieving results, it would be irresponsible to needlessly ignore the challenges from the grassroots where parents of these children couldn’t provide 3-square meal a day due to extreme poverty as a result of unemployment.

Green Ghana has chosen the Sunyani-West district as an ideal place to commence the project on a pilot base. Green Ghana has provided training to over 250 small-holder farmers since 2016.
